At ACPT, we are proud to have a team of dedicated and skilled professionals, and one shining example is Ally Wells. Ally, a Physical Therapist Assistant, has been a vital part of our team for over two years, bringing her expertise and passion to every aspect of her work.

Educational Journey and Professional Path

Ally’s journey in the health and fitness world is marked by her robust educational background and personal experiences. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Biology from SUNY Oneonta and received her PTA degree from Herkimer College. Her academic journey took a fascinating turn from initially pursuing Dietetics to focusing on Biology with an emphasis on Occupational Therapy.

After her graduation, Ally’s passion for health and fitness led her to shadow Conor Maloney (PTA) and Joe Trimarchi (PT) at ACPT, which solidified her love for the profession and steered her towards becoming a Physical Therapist Assistant.

Specialty and Approach

What sets Ally apart is her specialization in athletic injuries, surgical and sports rehabilitation, and her keen interest in treating pelvic and spinal injuries. Her favorite patients are those who are motivated and willing to learn, especially athletes, a group with which she deeply resonates given her background as a college field hockey player. Ally’s own experiences with athletic injuries provide her with a unique perspective and empathy in her approach to rehabilitation.

Beyond Work: A Glimpse into Ally’s Life

Outside the clinic, Ally is an embodiment of an active and balanced lifestyle. She is an avid fitness enthusiast who cherishes spending time with her friends and family. You’ll often find her enjoying the outdoors, taking long walks, or hiking with her beloved dog, Louie. And when it comes to her favorite meal, nothing beats a delicious pasta dish!

Ally’s Philosophy and Passion

Ally’s philosophy centers around seeing her patients improve and become better versions of themselves. Her transition from Dietetics to Biology and eventually to Physical Therapy speaks volumes about her dedication to health and fitness and her unwavering passion for helping people. Her journey at ACPT, from shadowing to becoming a key team member, reflects her commitment to sports rehabilitation and patient care.

At ACPT, we are incredibly fortunate to have Ally as part of our team, and we look forward to many more years of her invaluable contributions to our community and to the field of physical therapy.
